Dozens of post offices to close in Budapest!
The Hungarian Post decided to close almost three dozens of its post offices in Budapest, they said in an announcement today.
112 post offices will remain operable in Budapest
According to 444.hu, the Hungarian Post decided to close 35 low-traffic post offices in Budapest. Their last day of operation will be 7 October. The company added that there would remain 112 offices in Budapest receiving clients despite the relevant laws prescribing only 66.
They said the reason behind the closures is the energy crisis hitting Europe and Hungary. They cited the communication panels of the Hungarian government, highlighting that the failed sanctions of the European Union and the war in Ukraine are behind the crisis.
